ABOUT US

NAH, NAH, NAH
Louis Marlowe
echoes of beauty thunder from my past
I don’t seek shelter from their sound
So there, nah, nah, nah, everyone told me so
You prophetic bastards!  Hee, hee.
like the silver surfer, I sought my destiny
I rode the big one down Hollywood blvd
And made it as far as Las Palmas
Before the board gave out
Splintered and cracked like me
Battered, but much improved today
Like a romantic worthy of Richmond
I’ve read poems to all types of women
My youth’s mistakes were not repeated
My foundations of experience grew tall
Victory presented me with a bride, a wife
My pal, my Jewish saint
Like a man who claims to be honest
I’ve explored the regions of fantasy
I’ve calculated the options of paradise
I’ve come to terms with hell
No longer do I believe in fairy tales
And the unknown holds no fear for me
Embrace it.  The darkness won’t bite.  Death is not dishonor.
echoes of beauty thunder from my past
I wouldn’t have missed this life for the alternative
So there, nah, nah, nah, everyone told me so
You’re GOOFY.  I’m GOOFY too.
