ABOUT US

IN DREAMS OF DEAD LOVED ONES
SOMEONE ALWAYS RISES FROM THE BEACH
Kimberly Nichols
My grandfather did it
Strolling up shore
Fat and gray
With strawberry fields forever.
Dad does it from a grave
Dug up at seaside
A woman
Upon seeing dead dad
Face screams; walking
Dracula nailed,
He walks away; leaving
Footprints
In the sand begin my terror.
I spend the whole time running.
The dead walk differently
Blink and they are closer
Blink again and they are next
To you; arms wrapped
Around your neck
Choking.
